United Way Announces 2009 Campaign Chair

BRANDON – May 14th, 2009 -- United Way of Brandon & District Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Cullen, as Chairperson of the 2009 United Way Campaign.

Barry Cullen is a well-known member of our community. Barry was born and raised on the Manitoba prairies in the small town of Hargrave located just west of Brandon. Barry started to experiment with photography in the early 1980s, and over the next 25 years founded and grew one of the most innovative and creative photographic studios in the country, Keywest Photo Image by Design. Keywest Photo is now a collection of the best artistic and technologically talented people to be found within the photographic community.

Barry is a sought-after motivational speaker and has developed a series of programs including “Developing a Brand”, “Adapting to Change” and “Work/Life Balance”.

Barry believes in the work of United Way and looks forward to leading the 2009 Campaign team to build on the incredible work done by Len Isleifson and the 2008 campaign team. “Being asked to Chair the 2009 Campaign effort is quite an honour and one that I am proud to undertake.” commented Cullen.

Currently the 2009 campaign team is being recruited. The announcement of the 2009 campaign goal will be made at a press conference in late September.
