Our Campaign

Campaign 2011

2011 Campaign Chair Kevin Martin Freedom 55 Financial

For more than 74 years, thousands of Brandonites have helped United Way of Brandon & District make a meaningful and measurable difference in our community by getting involved and giving generously during our Annual Campaign. I am extremely excited by the opportunity to return to lead the 2011 United Way of Brandon and District Campaign team. Last year was a terrific learning opportunity for me, not only in understanding the dynamics of the job of Campaign Chair but also in learning more about my community, and the important work done by United Way.

Last year more people joined in partnership to serve as campaign volunteers, more workplace employees participated as donors than ever before, and more businesses and corporations than ever before became engaged in the 2010 campaign helping raise the record breaking total of $ 703,015.00.

Our job is not over, there is much more left to do! It continues to be my privilege to be involved with an organization like United Way that garners so much respect for the work it does in promoting a healthy and vibrant community. The needs of our citizens, this year in particular, have grown by leaps and bounds – they will need support from United Way now more than ever before. To make that I reality we will be asking everyone to help us positively change the lives of men, women, children, and families. So I am asking everyone now, help United Way protect the less vulnerable, the aged and the infirmed.  Help make Brandon the best community we can be. Be a part of moving people from Poverty to Possibility.

This year the 2011 campaign, will officially kick off in September and runs until December 31st. I very much look forward to working with my Vice-Chair, Frank Arndt, and the entire Campaign team for the 2011 campaign.  I hope that we can count on each and every one of you for your assistance, as together we make Brandon a better city for everyone.
