Be The One is United Way West Central Manitoba’s annual campaign designed to spark local pride, action, and generosity. It is a call to personal agency. Whether through giving, volunteering, or sharing stories, participation is at the heart of this campaign.
Our goal is to inspire people across the region to step forward, engage, and be the one who makes a difference. The tone is confident, optimistic, and rooted in community connection.

Impact Story: More Than Just a Meal
“When you’re living alone, life is so different. In January I had a really hard time. It was hard to explain and I don’t know why, but I was so lonesome. But then, a meal would come, and it would be a bright spot in the day because the volunteer who brings the meal is always so gracious, talkative, and a joy to have enter the home, so I’m over that hard spot now”
