Your donation supports local children and youth in the Brandon region through the following programs:

  • Why does the grocery budget seem flexible until we have nothing to make for dinner?
What do we do when we live independently, work and make our own way in the world and the money in our bank account runs out before the end of the month? With the increased cost of pretty much everything, today’s young adults are vulnerable. Prioritizing rent, utilities, transportation, and food makes it difficult to develop good financial habits. The goal of the FEYA program is to assist employed young adults who live on their own by offering gift cards for groceries.

  • Life is stressful for many students and school can contribute to or help mitigate the anxiety they experience daily. Most of us are familiar with feeling unprepared for a new beginning. Sometimes we are concerned about the unknown and other times are aware that we lack the tools to engage with confidence. The Tools for Schools program helps students by giving them necessary supplies like binders, paper, pens, and pencils. Giving our children the resources they need for success makes their transition into a new school year much smoother.

  • We can’t control the weather in Manitoba, and it can be brutally cold for extended periods of time. It’s so much more fun to play outside at recess with your friends when you’re bundled up warmly. Cozy winter clothes also make the trek to and from school easier and safer for students of all ages. Coats for Kids collects gently used winter gear to protect children and youth from the harsh prairie winter.

  • Manitoba high school students have a variety of ways to earn credits. One of those is a volunteer credit where work with approved organizations, lending their aid to others. Beyond the credit, there are many benefits to connecting with a generous spirit to others in our community. Summer of Service gives students the ability to share their time, talents, and energy with those in need. Lessons learned in this program can remain with students as lifelong gifts after they graduate high school.
